I Was Born But...(1932) by the Japanese film director Yasujiro Ozu is one of the masterpieces of the silent era: beautiful, funny and profound. Ed Hughes' delicate music perfectly captures Ozu's touching story of the different generations of a Tokyo family navigating a fast-changing world.

To start the evening, Kevos present the world premiere of a specially commissioned piece by local musician Ben Comeau to accompany the short silent film Our Gang (1929).
