"100 Boats" Preview

These works are constructed paintings incorporating screen-printed

features such as diagrams of a nautical origin. They are made on

wooden panels that I find on my walks along the Penryn River and

creeks. The marks I make along with the words are suggested to me by

the found surface.

I am trying to convey a sense of place and the maritime activity that is

associated with it. The small vessels have a traditional look to them –

they are used for work and pleasure.

These works are designed purely for pleasure.
