Dir. Alfred Hitchcock | US 1958 | 122 min | PG
Considered one of Alfred Hitchcock's greatest cinematic achievements, Vertigo is a dreamlike thriller from the Master of Suspense. 2018 marks the 60th anniversary for this classic story of obsession, manipulation, and fear — and was voted the greatest film ever made (ousting 1941's Citizen Kane) in the most recent Sight and Sound survey of film critics.
Set in San Francisco, the film creates a dizzying web of mistaken identity, passion and murder after an acrophobic detective (James Stewart) rescues a mysterious blonde (Kim Novak) from the bay and must unravel the secrets of the past to find the key to his future.
