This two hour workshop is just the thing for beginners who are eager to try their hand at ceramics! Make your own mug, jug, plate or bowl with the help of our head potter Karl Owen, who will guide you through the steps and teach you the basics of clay handling. We provide all the materials and tools needed, just bring along your imagination.
These sessions take place every Tuesday evening from 1 October to 22 October from 18:30 to 20:30, with a different focus each week:
1 October - Toothbrush Holder and Soap Dish
8 October - Mixing Bowl
15 October - Tiles
22 October – Pot with lid
All work will be ready for collection 4 weeks after sessions from The Poly box office. Work can be posted for those who can't collect their pieces, our postage charges within the UK start from £4.50, but vary dependent on the size of work.
These workshops are held in our on-site pottery, which can be found at the back of The Poly, with access from New Street. Please get in touch if you need more detailed directions.
