Reopening News!

Our plans for reopening!

We are very pleased to welcome you back to The Poly Guild from 23 July 2020, and our Spring Gallery from 30 July 2020.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who is supporting The Poly during our closure through donating tickets, taking credit notes or joining as members. We have been deeply moved by the kind messages and acts of support we have received.

Timeline for Reopening

We are planning a phased return to ensure we reopen with due caution and care. We are working to the following approximate schedule:

- the Guild shop will reopen on 23 July
- the Spring Gallery will reopen on 30 July
- the Poly Pottery will reopen for courses in August
- the Main Gallery will reopen in the autumn
- the Theatre will reopen in early 2021 with limited capacity on a limited number of evenings

At this time, our toilets will remain closed to the public. We will be reviewing this and hope to be able to reopen them in the future.

Our Community Pottery remains open for pre-arranged kiln firing and clay sales - please contact info@thepoly.org for more information.

Initially, we will be open with reduced hours on Thursday – Saturday from 11:00 – 16:00. We are also pleased to announce that our Guild online shop will be launching later this summer, so if you are shielding or isolating at home, you will soon be able to browse the Guild from home.

Health & Safety Measures

Our primary concern will always be the health and safety of our volunteers, staff, and the communities we serve. To ensure this, there will be some changes to the way that we operate, which have been outlined below.

Our health and safety measures will include:

- implementing a strict cleaning schedule, with regular sanitising of high touch areas
- limiting the capacity of the shop and gallery
- providing hand sanitiser
- installing protective screens at the desk
- fully training staff and volunteers, and equipping them with PPE
- requiring customers to wear a face covering to enter, unless they are exempt under guidelines
- putting in place clear signage, including floor stickers

If you have questions or concerns, please get in touch with us and a member of our team would be happy to help. You can get in touch with us by emailing info@thepoly.org, or by calling us at 01326 319461.

Supporting The Poly during our closure

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who is supporting The Poly during our closure through donating tickets, taking credit notes or joining as members. We have been deeply moved by the kind messages and acts of support we have received. We wanted a way to say thank you, so have launched our Windows of Thanks campaign to keep all our spirits up. Find out all the ways you can support The Poly and be part of our Windows of Thanks here >>

Information for ticketholders

We continue to work behind the scenes with artists, performers and promoters to reschedule dates postponed by Covid-19. Existing tickets will be valid for new dates and we will be in touch as updates become available.

We have emailed everyone who holds tickets with the options available to them, but if you booked in person at the box office we might not have your contact details. You can use your ticket to support The Poly, or you can request a refund. Please get in touch to let us know what you'd like to do on info@thepoly.org or 01326 319461.
