Poetry and Music at the Poly

Featuring award winning poet Hannah Copley and Internationally renowned jazz musicians and composers, Ed Jones (saxophones), Rebecca Nash (piano), Toku (Flugel horn), and Takashi Sugawa. (acoustic bass). 

Intertwining poetry and live music, this unique performance will feature a reading from Hannah’s acclaimed collection, Lapwing, as well as new work and a collaborative live improvisation with this exciting group of musicians following their recent performance at the Southbank Centre, London.  

Brought together by ‘En Rapport’, this one-off evening celebrates the creative and sonic crossovers between poetry and jazz, as well as the imaginative conversations that take place across artistic mediums and continents.
