Joachim Trier, acclaimed director of The Worst Person in the World, unveils his resonant new drama Sentimental Value — a tale of two sisters fraught with unresolved trauma and entangled in their father's literary legacy.

Nora Borg (Renate Reinsve) is a stage actress, while her sister Agnes (Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas) served as primary caregiver to their recently deceased mother. At the funeral, their estranged father Gustav (Stellan Skarsgård) unexpectedly reappears with a thinly veiled autobiographical script he hopes will revive his waning screenwriting career. When Nora declines the lead role and Gustav casts rising star Rachel (Elle Fanning) instead, simmering family tensions erupt into open conflict.
