How Does the Celtic Sea System Work?

The Atlantic Seaboard Forum opens with an introduction to the emerging Celtic Sea offshore economy. As investment accelerates, how do developers, supply chains, ports, regulators, research organisations and regional capabilities fit together? This opening seminar provides an accessible overview of the industry's structure and examines how different places—from Cornwall and Plymouth to Bristol and South Wales—contribute to a rapidly evolving Atlantic economy.

The seminar will feature Leo Bertels, Senior Manager (Routemap Economic Development) at The Crown Estate, Tim Pick CBE, Chair, Offshore Wind Growth Partnership and Phil Johnston, Business Development Manager at Celtic Sea Power, bringing together perspectives from both strategic planning and industry development.

This event launches a new monthly seminar series organised by the Atlantic Seaboard Forum. Convened by Louis Turner, Trustee of The Poly, the series explores the industries shaping Britain's Atlantic seaboard through independent discussion and informed debate. Confirmed speakers across the programme include senior representatives from The Crown Estate, Celtic Sea Power, Fugro, Inyanga, Falmouth Harbour, Cornwall Council and the Cornwall FLOW Commission, with further participation being sought from organisations including RNAS Culdrose, Plymouth Marine Laboratory, Solis Marine Engineering and Ocean Ecology.
