It is with great sadness that we had to suspend films and performances in The Poly auditorium on Monday, following the Government’s latest advice.
Our primary concern is for the health and safety of our audience, volunteers, staff, members, and the communities we serve, and temporary closure is the best way we can play our role in slowing the spread of Covid-19.
We appreciate your support and your understanding as we make decisions to support and protect each other as we navigate unchartered territory.
Not everyone knows that The Poly is a charity. We receive no public subsidy, which means that we don’t get regular financial help from the local authority or the Arts Council so we rely largely on ticket sales for income. This epidemic has put the Poly in a difficult financial position.
To offer refunds for all cancelled performances would be financially devastating for us so we are asking all ticket holders to please consider donating the cost of the ticket by not requesting a credit note or refund.
If, however, you would like a credit note (valid for 12 months) or a refund please contact the box office on 01326 319461.
If you would like to make a general donation to help the Poly survive, we would be extraordinarily grateful.
Everyone at The Poly wishes you good health, and we look forward to seeing you when we return to business as usual. For the news on our re-opening, you can check this page here, see our Facebook for updates, or sign up to our mailing list by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.

We add a £1 Poly Fund levy to each ticket to our events, courses and workshops which is donated directly to our registered charity fund. This fund helps to to safeguard the future of our grade II* Listed Building, and enables us to continue to support both our local community, and improve your experience here at The Poly.
A £0.50 ticketing system charge applies to all tickets bought online and over the phone. As a charity, we charge this fee to cover the costs from our system provider - we don’t charge this to make a profit.
We do not offer refunds on films, live events or workshops. If the event you were attending is sold out and we are able to re-sell your tickets to another customer, we can issue you a credit note for the ticket price only (excluding any booking fees and Poly Fund.)
If you have purchased a place on one of our regular pottery courses, we may be able to move you onto a course on a later date at the manager's discretion, provided it is being run again. We are happy to refund or exchange any retail purchases made through our Guild shop within 30 days, on proof of a valid receipt.
We are located in the centre of the town at 24 Church Street, Falmouth TR11 3EG.
By car - the closest car parks to The Poly are at Well Lane, Church Street and at Events Square.
By train - the nearest station is Falmouth Town, which is approximately 15 minutes walk away.
The Poly is a listed building and disabled access is extremely limited. We regret that the building is not currently accessible for wheelchair users. We are working hard to enable access for all.
If you (or someone for whom you are an essential carer for) have other needs, we will do our best to make your visit to The Poly easier and enjoyable. Please contact a member of staff on 01326 319461, or send an email to email@example.com to discuss your visit and your needs.
We offer a complimentary ticket to essential carers accompanying a person with disabilities, please contact our Box Office to arrange this. Please note that the complimentary ticket will incur a £1.00 Poly Fund levy.
