Jazz at The Poly: July

Andy is a prolific composer and arranger who is well known in Bristol, South Wales and West-country. He has played with countless visiting jazz soloists including Andy Shepard and Steve Davis, and played in many settings, including albums with Portishead, various theatre productions, and a number of TV and film soundtracks. With his quintet the repertoire combines Andy’s original compositions with rearranged and lesser known standards.

'Entanglement'

Victoria Sewart Gallery has collaborated with The Cornish Seal Sanctuary’ with a project called ‘Entanglement’. They are creating some retail bracelets and pendants made from the ghost nets alongside a collection of ‘art jewellery’ created by all the staff at Victoria Sewart Contemporary Jewellery Gallery all to raise awareness and highlight the issues of the ghost nets entangling the seals and damaging our seas and the marine life. The exhibition is on at Falmouth Poly from Monday 15th -20th July, and afterwards the retail pieces will be on sale in the seal Sanctuary’s gift shop with proceeds from the sales going to the charity.
