The John Howard Print Studios provide a unique and exciting working environment for anyone interested in the expressive potential of printmaking. This annual exhibition showcases work made there from established and emerging artists, recent graduates and outstanding students. The inclusive ethos and John’s generous spirited approach to sharing his expertise make it a vibrant place to develop new work.
The use of different techniques - etching, screenprinting, woodcut, monotype, photo-etching – is as individual as the images created. This is an opportunity to see fine art printmaking that is reflective of ideas and experience, with an aesthetic linked to the unique qualities of print and the high production values of the studio.
As a member of the Royal Society of Painter-printmakers John Howard regularly exhibits his strong, intricate etchings at the Royal Academy and Bankside Gallery and has work in important collections including the House of Commons, the V&A and Oxford University. He is also an associate lecturer at Falmouth University.
