The Royal Cornwall Polytechnic Society (‘The Poly’) has been encouraging innovation and culture for over 190 years. As a key cultural and community venue in Cornwall our mission is to provide inspiring, inclusive and innovative entertainment, learning and development opportunities across the arts, sciences and history.

Would you like to get more involved in supporting the local community? We currently have vacancies for trustees with professional experience or knowledge in the areas of:

Environmental responsibility/ Sustainability/ Science

- to lead on Sustainability, working closely with the Director, our buildings lead and the Board of trustees, to ensure we deliver on our commitment to Environmental responsibility.

- an interest or expertise in science, or connection to the science community, would also be an advantage.

Fundraising (philanthropic giving)

- We need a trustee to support the Director with fundraising, particularly philanthropic giving and donations. This includes helping us deliver our current plans to develop membership and grow our business supporters

-  If you have no experience of fundraising but would like to take on the role of ‘fundraising champion’ on the Board, we’d be interested to hear from you
