Situated in the heart of Falmouth's lively community, The Poly is a vibrant, multi-purpose art centre and community hub with an 180 capacity theatre, a state-of-the art pottery, a variety of exhibition and meeting spaces, a fully licensed cafe/bar - as well as a shop featuring the best in local art and design.
Our ground floor gallery, The Spring Gallery (pictured), is the place to enjoy work by a wide range of contemporary artists and craftspeople. Exhibitions change every week, so there’s always something new to see.
The second floor is home to our Main Gallery, a much bigger exhibition space with large original windows - filling the space with light. Our Annual Members' Summer Exhibition is held here every August, as well as a number of Falmouth University's end-of-year shows.
If you're interested in exhibiting in either of our galleries, get in touch with Sarah or Jasmin at guild@thepoly.org for more information.
Our community pottery offers a range of courses and services for every skill level, from beginners through to experts.
On our beginners course you can learn techniques like pinch pots, coil pots and slab making with our master potter Karl Owen. Or you can take our throwing and intermediate courses to build on your existing skills.
We also offer a kiln firing service, studio spaces, clay sales, and drop in sessions for experienced potters and ceramicists.
Follow @polypottery_falmouth on Instagram for updates and find what courses we currently have available here.
Our 160+ seat theatre is the perfect place to watch independent, art-house and foreign films, experience both local and national theatre, and enjoy a wide range of comedy, music, and talks.
This cosy and characterful space is also available to book for private film screenings at off-peak times - offering a unique opportunity for special occasions. To find out more, email info@thepoly.org
Located on the first floor is the library, where we host a series of talks, presentations, workshops and live music.
When not in use as an event space, this area can be enjoyed as an additional seating area for Solskinn Coffee and Cocktail Haus.
Drop into The Polys cafe/bar to enjoy incredible food, cocktails and of course speciality coffee. As well as the enticing refreshments on offer, you can always be assured of a warm welcome - wrapped up in gorgeous heritage setting.
