A chance to see a showing of a unique film ‘The Wrecking Season’ directed by Jane Darke.
The Wrecking Season is essential for anyone who wants to understand the Gulf Stream and what if brings across the Atlantic from the Americas. The film is written and narrated by Nick Darke and filmed and directed by Jane. It is an expression of Cornwall’s place in the Atlantic community. Jane and Nick had become experts on the objects transported by ocean currents, seeds from the Caribbean, fisheries tags from Newfoundland and tropical hardwoods swept in by the tides. First broadcast in 2005 on BBC4. Winner of First Time Director Award Celtic Film and TV Festival.
The film will be followed by a talk on Plastic Pollution and a Q&A session with Jane Darke.
