Laboratory of the Precious

The Laboratory of the Precious
Working out of 'The Big Spotty Dog Studio' Professor Sparklylynne creates totally unique pieces of Jewellery. Her pieces are bold and often include humour. With interesting titles, they all have a story to tell. She has a PhD (Petroleum Hybrid Detritus) in quirky but beautiful, bespoke items of wearable art.

From the 30th January till the 11th of February, The Royal Polytechnic Society will allow their Spring Gallery to be transformed into Professor Sparklylynnes' Laboratory of the Precious, where she will be resident conducting daily eco-experimentations.

The Professor will re-cycle, re-use, re-string and re-make from previously bought, gifted or found materials, washed up plastic, children's discarded toys, odd things and beautiful beads. She will also be playing with a new bio-degradable material - pushing the normal boundaries of what is classed as jewellery and which you are welcome to join in.

Clean Conscience Clinics (workshops) Bring your own precious treasures that are broken or un-worn and let the Professor help you transform them into something that you can take on new adventures and love wearing once more.
Clean Conscience Clinics, 10am till 4pm: 31st Jan and February 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th.

Cost: £30 - bring your own treasures and beads,

What is provided: tea, cake, coffee, humour, inspirational ideas and conversation. We will also supply the tools and jewellery findings required to make your beautiful unique piece of jewellery.

Disclaimer: The Professor accepts no responsibility for any subsequent transformation in shopping habits or dress style as a result of participation in a workshop !!
