CJM Booth: Snap Out of It
Photographs by CJM Booth
Chris Booth was formerly the BBC Bureau Chief in Moscow, and later in Baghdad. He came to photography four years ago following a period of acute mental illness, brought on in part by his work in areas of conflict.
Taking photographs helps concentrate on the world outside oneself, instead of getting lost in introspection. It offers a chance to refocus on life's many beautiful moments, both the grand and the trivial.
The exhibition illustrates this - capturing the daily 'microdramas' played out before us which so often pass unnoticed.
Any profit from sales will be donated to the youth homelessness organisation Centrepoint and the mental health charity Mind.
