A chance to hear some unusual and quirky stories associated with the First World War and Cornwall from the 100 Faces 100 Stories collaborative project by Cornwall's archives and museums.
History researcher, writer and teacher Joanna Mattingly will explore different types of involvement - such as combatants, recruiting sergeants, women, essential war workers, conscientious objectors, children and animals. She will focus particularly on stories and faces from or connected to the Falmouth area.
Joanna Mattingly is a freelance history researcher and writer who has lived in Cornwall for 30 years. In 2008 she coordinated the Poly's 175th anniversary exhibition 'Chasing Clouds'.
