The Children Act

This stately, moving drama follows Fiona (Emma Thompson - never better), a judge who is married to her work - as her own marriage (to Stanley Tucci) flounders, she must decide if Adam (Fionn Whitehead), a 17-year-old with leukaemia, should have a blood transfusion that will save his life - against his Jehovah's Witness beliefs.

Stu's back with a comic odyssey on how it works out in the end, and whether anyone cares. Intelligent stand-up comedy for everybody, but of particular interest to people over thirty who've lost touch with all their old friends and can't eat just one pain au chocolat. Featuring ultimates, absolutes and surprisingly few conclusions.
