Galleries

Spring Gallery

The Spring Gallery is on the ground floor of The Poly with a large window frontage facing onto the main street.  The gallery is approximately 80m x 36m with a large door opening onto the main reception area opposite the Box Office and Poly Guild both of which bring many people into The Poly throughout the week.

This is the largest Gallery in The Poly on the top floor, it can be hired as a whole or sub-divided to create a smaller space.

There are five large windowsills, which can be used with/out plinths for a variety of work. The gallery also houses moveable display units that can be moved into a formation to suit your exhibition.

Room/Space Hire

We have four spaces for hire in the building, see our Venue Hire guide for full details.

Main Auditorium

Seating 180, our comfortable auditorium can be used for film events, product launches, staff meetings, presentations and corporate nights. With a full lighting rig, excellent sound system and digital cinema projection, we can work with you to make the most of your event. Regular clients include Seasalt, Universities of Falmouth and Exeter, Cornwall Wildlife Trust and many other local companies and organisations.

Main Gallery

At the top of our building we have our large, open and bright Main Gallery. With full size, moveable exhibition blocks that can be used for display or to create different spaces as well as a bar/refreshment area, the Main Gallery can seat up to 100 people with plenty of space for movement. Again, we have a range of technical equipment to support your event in this space, and it comes with its very own grand piano to create the right atmosphere.

Bar

The bar is on the first floor adjacent to the Oliver Price library.  It can either be used as a bar or a meeting space with the alcohol locked away to comply with licensing regulations.  There is room for 35 seated and 50-70 standing with the option of catering from local food providers.

Oliver Price Library

The library is our newest available space.  It houses part of the Poly's collection of books and journals as well as being a light airy space next to the bar.

Ideal for meetings and smaller events, our Library can comfortably seat 40, but can be configured for meetings, training sessions and a wide range of workshops. With our integrated digital projector, and access to our technology.

Hire Prices

Prices vary on the length of hire, technical complexity, and other services required. Each event is handled by one of our experienced staff, and we can provide volunteer support as needed. We also support your promotion and marketing at no extra cost.
