A special charity screening of the acclaimed drama from Ken Loach.
Cathy Come Home is a landmark BBC production from 1966, telling the story of Cathy’s slide into poverty, debt and homelessness. Directed by Ken Loach, the play garnered enormous public support for the housing charity ‘Shelter which was launched just a few days later.
This showing is one of a series of events for the campaign ‘Let’s end street homelessness in Cornwall’, led by St Petroc’s Society, a Cornish charity that supports street homeless people (www.stpetrocs.org.uk).
Following the film there will be a discussion session and an opportunity to find out more about the campaign.
