StreetDraw24 is an annual drawing event held here in Falmouth.
Each year people who love drawing – artists, students, enthusiasts, amateurs – get out and about in the town during a 24-hour period and make images of whatever they choose however they choose. Some people draw for 24 hours others take part briefly. Some draw alone, others in groups. Some create one image, others many!
There’s no cost to participate and everyone is welcome. Simply sign up on Facebook or email streetdraw24@gmail.com to find out more.
During the 24 hours there will also be a series of short stories told by interesting people in interesting places around Falmouth – go along and draw as you learn! These include ghost stories at midnight on the 2nd told by local storyteller Gary Cordingley.
A selection of work from this year’s StreetDraw24 will be shown and sold at The Poly to raise funds for St Petrocs' work with Cornwall’s street homeless. This year’s exhibition will take place 15 - 17 October and is entitled 'Back on the Streets?'.
Check out the StreetDraw24 Facebook page or website to find out more.
This is an external event in collaboration with The Poly and will be taking place throughout Falmouth.
