Floral Still Life in Oils

Join artist and experienced tutor Lisa Waldron on this relaxing and informative three day course where you will learn to paint a floral still life in oils.

A selection of seasonal blooms will be arranged in the gallery space and Lisa will take you through the process of capturing them in oils – from constructing the composition in an underpainting, to adding the final finishing touches. The course will include a detailed explanation of colour mixing and advice on how achieve those bright floral hues.

It is recommended participants have some painting experience in other mediums but beginners to oil painting are welcome as Lisa will take you through all you need to know.

All materials, paints and tools will be provided. We recommend bringing a sketchbook or notebook and pencil for note taking. There will be refreshments provided in the 15 minute tea break and an hour’s break for lunch. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch or visit one of the many lovely cafes in the local area.
