Beginners Handbuilding: 4 Week Course

For the perfect introduction to ceramics, join in our four-week beginner’s course. 

Handbuilding is one of the oldest forms of pottery, allowing you to make pots, bowls and more. You'll learn the techniques of pinch pots, coil pots and slab making while being in encouraged to experiment with traditional decorative methods such as slip and glazing.

All materials and equipment provided.

POTTERY WORKSHOP: BEGINNER'S HANDBUILDING

When: Mondays, 2pm-4pm or 6.30pm-8.30pm

Next course start: Monday 17th November

Where: The Poly Pottery (at the back of The Poly, accessed from New Street)

Duration: four weeks

Class size: eight per class

Tutor: Karl Owen

Cost: £129, 

A £1 Poly Fund payment is added to each ticket sold. A 50p booking fee is also applied per ticket for online and telephone transactions.

Directions to The Poly Pottery
The Pottery is at the back of The Poly on New Street. Keeping The Poly building on your right, walk down the sloping path past the 'stage door' sign. The door to the pottery is on the corner of the building you're passing on your left as you walk down the path.
