Raynor Winn is best known the author of the internationally
bestselling memoir The Salt Path, which told the story of her walk
along the South West Coast Path in the wake her husband’s diagnosis with a
terminal illness, and the news that they had lost their home.
It's follow-up, The Wild Silence continues the inspirational
story and recounts what happened when their journey came to an
end.
Raynor will be joined by Anita Sethi, whose debut memoir I Belong Here details her own personal odyssey through the very different landscapes of the Pennines. After suffering a racial attack on a train journey she was moved to set out on a voyage of discovery around her native northern England and ask some serious questions about identity, belonging and the redemptive power of the natural world. I Belong Here was shortlisted for this year's Wainwright Prize for UK Nature Writing alongside Raynor Winn's The Wild Silence.
Anita and Raynor will be discussing their respective journeys and reflecting
on the power of nature to heal in times of trauma.
