An uplifting and colourful exhibition exploring Spring through the medium of ceramics, painting, pastels and textiles. Both artists are inspired by the magical wildlife and beautiful landscapes of Cornwall.
Sue works from home studio on the South Coast, close to the creeks and inlets of The Carrick Roads. Much of her free time is spent walking the South West Coast Path. Recently she has starting working in soft pastels but also enjoys painting in oils. Her aim is to capture glimpses of the dizzyingly beautiful views seen on her hikes.
Lucy Joines creates wheel thrown ceramics in her studio on the North Coast of Cornwall. She uses local stoneware clay and a porcelain clay to make everything from earrings to teapots, decorated with inspiration taken from the beauty and magic of the natural world around us. Lucy finishes off her pieces with a touch of gold lustre sparkle.
