Join The Cornish Bird, writer and podcaster Elizabeth Dale, and Keith Wallis, host of The Piskie Trap for a talk exploring a range of ghostly tales from around Cornwall’s coasts.
Cornwall has a wealth of ghostly legends and local tales, from stories of phantom ships, murderous smugglers and secret tunnels, to tragic lovers, eerie lights and death omens. In this talk we’ll take a deeper dive into some famous and not-so-famous ghost stories from the coasts of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, looking at the roots of these stories, how they connect to local history, storytelling traditions and customs, and why they remain an important part of Cornish culture and heritage
Age recommendation 16+ for supernatural & macabre themes.
