The Wall of Shadows (12A)
Thursday 5th May. 7.30pm
A Tull Stories Adventure Club release.
Kumbhakarna is one of the most holy of mountains and it is a cultural taboo within Sherpa society to climb it.
Eliza Kubarska’s The Wall Of Shadows shows the
dilemma of one Sherpa family when faced with the income offered by a Western
expedition to guide them up the mountain. Can the family reconcile their
traditions and religion with the opportunity to earn money for their son’s
education, and save him from dangerous work as a porter?
