Have a look at the calendar text here to see what's coming up.
This lighthearted creative workshop is designed to help you see and experience your hometown or city in a joyful new way.
Led by Hannah Bevan, the Falmouth-based founder and author of Hometown Journals, you’ll first learn a little about the benefits of journaling and how becoming more immersed in your local area can positively impact your wellbeing.
You’ll then receive your own Hometown Journal and during the session you and the group will work through a series of guided prompts and exercises from the journal.
There will be a mix of writing, drawing and mindfulness activities - but all will be designed to inspire gratitude, exploration and fresh perspectives in the place that you live.
There will be the opportunity to share and discuss our journal entries with the group too, to spark new ideas, connect with like-minded people and spread the joy!
What to expect:
• A short introductory talk from Hannah
• Your own Hometown Journal to use in the workshop and keep afterwards to continue your journaling journey at home
• 4 or 5 guided journal activities, including writing and drawing. You don’t have to be experienced at either of those things to take part. All abilities are welcome!
• A relaxed environment.
• Pens and pencils will be provided but feel free to bring your own.
