Sign in: Meet in front of the café on Castle Beach at 1.30pm
Join us for this family workshop that takes place across a Sunday afternoon. We will be collecting seaweed samples from Castle Beach to create a single piece of community artwork. Having logged the exact location of where samples were found, we will then head to The Poly for a pressing session to preserve the seaweed.
In three weeks’ time, there will be an opportunity to return to The Poly for a second workshop (not a requirment for attending part 1). This will involve collating all our seaweed pressings - arranging them into a large frame showing how the seaweed species changed as we travelled from the top of the beach towards the sea.. (Book Part Two by clicking here)
Workshops suitable for ages 6 and over. Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
This workshop has been made possible by the Tanner Phoenix Trust through the Cornwall Community Fund.
