Scottish singer-songwriter and guitarist Adam Beattie, praised as a 'master of powerful narratives,' has recently released his fifth solo album to critical acclaim. Beattie combines contemporary Scottish folk with influences from various roots genres, employing intricate finger-picked guitar and a distinctively captivating voice.
Having supported folk guitar legend Bert Jansch and performed at esteemed festivals such as Cambridge Folk Festival and Celtic Connections, Beattie's talent has garnered recognition. His latest album, 'Somewhere Round The Bend,' has been described as mesmeric, earning accolades from renowned figures like Mary Anne Hobbs and Bob Harris.
Beattie's musical journey includes collaborations with notable artists and being signed to Rough Trade Records. Currently, he is crafting a new album inspired by his upbringing in Aberdeenshire, featuring the enchanting folk songs 'Home Fires Burning' and 'The Girl From The Seaside Town.'
