Single Sword Workshop

A 2hr hour workshop working with single sword (think rapier, sabre or cutlass). 

What is different to past workshops? 

We will recap/cover, footwork, parries, cuts but will then look at developing a choreographed sequence and ways of enhancing a performance. 

Stage/Screen Combat is the sort of fighting you see on stage and screen and is a way of creating dramatic scenes of conflict without anyone getting hurt, though choregraphed movements. Its origins are ancient but the ‘modern’ version comes from the Elizabethan era. 

Suitable for 16 plus, anyone aged 16 or 17 must be accompanied by an adult on the session. No previous experience, but to get the most from the session some experience is suggested.

This is a physical workshop as such a basic level of fitness and mobility is required to take part.
