Bored with your wardrobe? Enjoy the thrill of finding something different to wear, but want to shop guilt-free by saving money and helping the planet? Why not bring your unwanted clothes and your friends to The Poly’s Womens Clothes Swap event and help us raise money to support Falmouth’s local arts centre, history archive and community-based charity into the bargain?
Here’s the deal. You buy a ticket for £10 and bring along 1-5 good quality clothes to swap (new, vintage, shoes and handbags all welcome as long as they’re in good condition, though no undergarments or swimwear).
You can try things on and take home as many items as you’ve donated. If something else catches your eye you can purchase additional items for just £5 each, and drop into our onsite café/bar Solskinn to recover from all the excitement!
Items already donated to get things going include such brands as Boden, White Company, Jigsaw, White Stuff, M&S, Top Shop and Camper as well as non-high street brands).
Clothes that haven’t been snapped up will be kept for our next Swap event or donated to Falmouth’s British Red Cross shop.
Summary of how it works:
• Ticketed Entry @ £10 (incl Poly fund) in advance or on the day, online or Box office.
• Bring with you 1-5 good quality clothes to swap (ie not damaged or stained, no undergarments or swimwear. New or vintage clothes, handbags and hardly worn shoes welcome)
• You can take home the number of items you have donated to the swap
• If you'd like to take more that's great (£5 per additional item)
• Bring a friend!
• Please bring your own bag
Saturday 23rd March 2-5pm
Tickets: £9*
*A £1 Poly Fund payment is added to each ticket sold.
