Meredith's exhibition pays tribute to the act of walking. She works in a detailed manner employing rhythm with the strokes she makes that echoes the rhythm of the steps walked in the landscapes she paints.
Her paintings take time. She build layers of detail with oil paint using fine brushes, painting onto wooden panels. The layers she builds develop into landscapes that pay tribute to the places she has been.
With each painting she works to explore new ways of depicting nature. Nature is one constantly changing phenomenon and everything it consists of is worthy of our attention. Beauty exists amongst every aspect of our natural environment, and Meredith wishes to celebrate that.
