John Brenton presents a collection of recently completed oil paintings inspired by the Cornish coast and landscape. His paintings are usually started en plein air then completed in the studio. He applies the paint predominantly with a palette knife employing a wet on wet technique to achieve a richly textured and vibrant image.
Born 1964. John has established himself as a leading contemporary land and seascape artist over the past 25 years . He has held regular exhibitions throughout the UK including the Royal Academy Summer Show , the Royal Society of British Artists and the Royal Society of Oil Painters. His paintings are collected both in the UK and worldwide.
