Greta Gerwig makes her acclaimed directorial debut with this award-nominated coming-of-age comedy. Christine ‘Lady Bird’ McPherson is a young girl who spends almost all her time fighting against her mother – with whom she has more in common than she’d like to admit.

 

They both care deeply for each other, but they’re also extremely opinionated, strong-willed and always sure that they’re right. As Lady Bird grows up, determined to go to university, we observe how their relationship constantly changes and defines them both.
