Emilio Ayto (born 1998) is an English guitarist and composer. Emilio has been based in South-West Cornwall for most of his life, despite being born in Banbury, Oxfordshire. He first started playing classical guitar at secondary school under the guidance of tutors Ben Salfield and Rick Martin, but gradually added to his musical pallet by playing electric guitar and electric bass in school bands and productions.

Since 2015 Emilio has been learning to play an 8 course tenor lute, and more recently a 5 string tenor banjo. Since September 2016 Emilio has been studying BA Hons Music at Falmouth University where he composed his first piece for solo classical guitar titled “Red River”, performing it at his debut solo concert in March 2017 at the weekly AMATA (Academy of Music and Theatre Arts) lunchtime concert series. He has also played support slots at the Hellys International Guitar Festival, including one for Florian Palier, and as support for the Christian Lavernier Kernow Concert tour.

Emilio has peformed live on BBC Radio Cornwall as well as regularly playing in the Cornwall Youth Classical Guitar Ensemble (since September 2017), bass guitar in Lunacci (since September 2016), and lead electric guitar and vocals in Rogue Nation (founding member since September 2015).
