Falmouth in World War 1

A chance to find out what like was like in Falmouth during the war, with photographs and artefacts from local archives. What did the town look like? What stories did people have to tell? What did people eat? What did women and children do for the war effort? How did businesses survive and what did Falmouth’s position as a strategic defence base mean for the inhabitants and the landscape?

Find the answers here. And if you have any artefacts or memories in your family to share, just let us know by contacting either history@thepoly.org or jenefer@thepoly.org.
