Pottery workshop: Throwing

This course is open to all abilities, whether you're a novice or an experienced potter looking to expand your skills on the wheel. 

Our head potter Karl will teach you the basics of pottery throwing, starting with throwing basic cylinders and then developing your skills to help you make more complicated forms, including bowls and mugs, as well as turning, firing, and glazing techniques.

How to book (update 24/05/21): 

Due to website issues, currently it is only possible to book this course through box office - either over the phone (01326 319461) or in person. Bookings will open at 10am Tuesday 25th May - please do not try to book before this time or leave a voicemail as we are closed on Mondays and will not be able to process your booking. We apologise for any inconvenience and hope online booking will be back as soon as the issue can be fixed. 

When: Tuesdays, starting 8th June 2021, 2pm-4pm

Where: The Poly Pottery (at the back of The Poly, accessed from New Street)

Duration: six weeks

Class size: three per class

Tutor: Karl Owen

Cost: £260, including £1 Poly Fund and all materials and equipment.
