Wild Toy Theatre: The Fisher-Knight's Tale

'A well thought out, creative and meaningful story... It held the attention and imagination of children and adults alike'

Suitable for children aged 5 and up, The Fisher-Knight's Tale is a pop-up adventure for intimate settings. Meet Laura, the Fisher-Knight! She is brave, she is bold, and she is armed with a fishing rod! Laura is on a perilous quest to save the River Kingdom from floods, and there are plenty of characters to help her along the way. But where have all the fish gone!? And who is cutting down all the trees?

Based in South Devon, Wild Toy Theatre is a fledgling company creating puppet theatre on an intimate scale. We tell original stories inspired by rural themes, including wildlife, folklore and local heritage. This performance will be followed by a pop-book craft workshop (5+).

"The Fisher-Knight's Tale captivated our audience of young and very young children with its puppetry, music and story-telling. The additional craft activity run alongside the performance only served to engage the children further with the performance and its themes. Wild Toy Theatre come highly recommended from us" - Crediton Library (Devon)

"Adults and children of all ages were spellbound throughout ‘The Fisher Knight’s Tale’. An enchanting show which kept the audience enthralled - combining traditional story telling with ingenious props and leaving enough space for imaginations to fly." - Torquay Library (Devon)
