Ella Carty was born in Kenya but has
lived most her life in the UK living in Oxford, London and Hertfordshire. She now
lives in Penryn and works from her studio at Krowji in Redruth. Her paintings
are concerned with sensation and expression, often reflecting upon remembered
feelings, people or places. Her work describes a process of perception, discovery
and regeneration.
‘The paintings here were about celebrating the
beauty in the world and giving attention to its colour, rhythm and surprises.’
