Piano Recital: Tim Dean plays Rachmaninov, Bach & Debussy

Tim Dean former Head of Music for Kent Opera and Head of Opera at Royal Scottish Academy of Music is returning to the solo piano concert platform at the invitation of the Metronome International Concert Artists series. 

Tim has an active part in music performance  and life in Cornwall in the past eight years perhaps best known for  the formation and subsequent development of the professional band Chapel Street Music based in Penzance which is touring widely in Cornwall this year on Carn to Cove.     

Tim said "I had a recent significant birthday and prepared a solo piano recital programme for friends to enjoy on that day - something I have not done for many years... and the Poly's new series offers an opportunity to play before the public again. It should be a fun and entertaining programme....do join us".

Beethoven Variations on ‘God save the King’

Mendelssohn - Spinning Song  
Debussy - Suite Bergamasque  
Rachmaninov- Prelude in G sharp minor  
Granados - La maja y el ruisenor  
Faure - Barcarolle in E flat
