Family session - this session is for families and young people under 14.

The Poly and Dracaena Centre Youth Services are working with Affinity Skateboarding on a day of skate for local young people. A selection of short films will be screened, celebrating local and international young skaters followed by a beginner's skate session run by Affinity Skateboarding.

Film run time - 1 hour total
Skate like a Lass - Juliet Klotrupp’s 2025 film documents young skaters in Northern England. The title comes from the tag line of ‘Cumbria Cvven’ a Girls skate group in Barrow-in-Furness. 3 minutes
Get up and Try again - Matt Aitia’s 2025 film shows the struggles of learning how to kick flip. A film of resilience, hard work and success through failing. 3 minutes
In Crust we Trust - A section of Matt Hunt's 2016 South West skateboarding scene video, with Eric Wade, Jake Sparham and Steve Spencer. 14 minutes
Kernow Remixed - The first screening of a shorter remixed version of the full length Cornwall based skate video released April 2025 titled Kernow’ filmed and edited by Liam ‘Shicken’ Jeffries. 4 minutes
Ask the girls in Cairo - This 2025 film shows the hidden lives of teens in Egypt who are skateboarders, drifters and motorcycle riders. 4 minutes
Imilla Skate - In the mountains of Bolivia, a group of women challenge gender stereotypes through skateboarding, wearing traditional Pollera skirts. In this 2025 film they work together to plan the building of Bolivia’s first skate park. 15 minutes
Boneless 180 - A film by Laya Hartman. Dayna Doles, one of the few Black girls in a wealthy Detroit suburb, grows a deep love for skateboarding. Ostracized, she meets pro-skater Christiana Smith and begins to unlock her true potential. 22 minutes

A £1 Poly Fund payment is added to each ticket sold. A 50p booking fee is also applied per ticket for online and telephone transactions.
