Painting Aspects of Falmouth

Painting aspects of Falmouth will be a wonderful collaboration of guidance in drawing and painting and individual mentoring; to help artists to work in an experimental way with both drawn and painted media.

Victoria works on location in and around Falmouth and the Carrick roads and she will take you on a wonderful journey into her immersive practice.  Working on site on location around Falmouth, Victoria will help artists to access and hone a range of artist techniques and skills- from first line to finished paintings in acrylic.  She will guide you on sketch book work, preliminary work, using graphite, pen and wash and small acrylic studies on site to upsizing into large work on canvas and board back in the Poly main gallery studio.

The workshop works over 2 days enabling artists to develop ideas and preparatory drawings and paintings on site around Falmouth, Victoria will work with you , through demonstration and guidance to enable a fresh a creative approach to collecting ideas, colour notes and making a number of smaller studies on site that can be used in reflection back tin the studio, The second day will be dedicated to larger paintings back in The Poly Main gallery /studio. Each artist will have a sketch book and paintings to take away with them and hopefully be charged with ideas and creative endeavour

Victoria has worked as a professional artist for 30 years – since graduating in Fine art, BA, MA and PGCE art and design. She exhibits nationally, as well as working professionally as a painter she has worked on art projects for TV, charities, hospitals and schools- she currently works at St Ives school of painting, where you can catch some more of her courses online and in person.  As a Falmouth painter, who grew up on the Carrick Roads, this workshop is very close to her heart and will combine her knowledge of her past industrial scapes, as well and the beauty of the sea and harbour.  Join her in August for this amazing workshop right in the heart of Falmouth’s creative town.
