Join Eggy Nicoll for an introduction to queerness in cinema and television. Eggy will be talking about the history of queer coding, censorship of queer voices, queer language and stereotypes used on screen.
Eggy is non-binary and part of the queer community in Falmouth, and has spent years researching queer culture presenting several talks on gender, sexuality and sex education. They have a degree in Television from Falmouth University and a keen interest in queer rights and history. As part of their dissertation they did re-search at Bishopsgate Institute, a queer archive in London.
This talk is intended to be a welcoming space for anyone seeking to start or learn more about queer culture.
