David Chapman is a wildlife photographer and writer. His writing is well-known locally in magazines such as Cornwall Today and Cornwall Life. He also provides images for calendars including Cornwall Hospice Care and Trebah Garden. Over the last twelve years he has written many books about wildlife and photography in Cornwall. His first, published in 2007, entitled 'Wild about Cornwall' looked at forty of the best wildlife locations in the county.
His latest book entitled 'Where to Watch Wildlife in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly' was published this year. This book expands on Wild about Cornwall looking at many more locations and giving up to date information about what can be seen at these places. It's surprising how much has changed in the county since 2007. In this talk David will pick up on a few of these changes including the introduction of beavers, water voles and heath fritillary butterflies as well as giving a flavour of what his new book offers.
This is sure to be an amusing and informative talk, and you can expect him to be wearing an exciting piece of knitwear from his extensive collection.
At the end of the talk there will be an opportunity to ask questions, chat informally and buy copies of his new book.
