Women In Science: A Celebratory Evening
Join Falmouth Marine Conservation for their second celebration of women working in science. Following their immensely popular event last year, they have enlisted three more incredible women to talk about their journey into science, and what they encountered along the way.
A welcoming drinks reception will be followed by a series of talks from women working in surprisingly diverse fields in conservation:
Katy Bellman, who currently works as research ranger at Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust and is a leader on seal disturbance research
Katy Davidson, the 'Oyster Lady': pioneer in oyster culture and seafood specialist
Heather Buttivant, writer, educator and lover of Cornish marine life, and winner of BBC Wildlife magazine's 'Wildlife Blogger of the Year' for her website https://cornishrockpools.com!
All of this will be followed by pasties and networking!
Please note that Dr Sarah Hodge and Lizzie Daly, who were among the original line-up of speakers, have been replaced by Katy Bellman and Heather Buttivant.
Tickets: £10 (inc. Poly Fund)
Ticket price includes a drink and a pasty.
