This series of images is an investigation into how the younger generation is perceived by the older. The focus is primarily on how the current generation express themselves and are turning away from definition and tradition.
Alicia has chosen to explore this because of the divide seen in different cities and countries with style, sexuality and how we are “allowed” to express ourselves. In despite of social norms, the current generation proudly display their personalities and embrace cultural differences.
A series about how this generation redefines the old. Through using the trends of our parents and grandparents, there has been a revival of traditions, in new and interesting ways. Artistic expression influences clothing, how we act, how we navigate in the world and how this generation shows their personality.
