StreetDraw24 is a 24-hour drawing event held in Falmouth each year. This year will be our fifth year in Falmouth with an everyone-welcome draw from noon Friday September 30th to noon Saturday October 1st and an everyone-can-exhibit exhibition at The Poly from the 18th - 22nd October.
Participation packs will be available from The Poly Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th from the Box Office. On the two days of the draw StreetDraw organisers will be at The Poly in person stationed at the top of the stairs from 10:30am - 4pm. It’s not essential that you have a pack to take part, but they will contain a few goodies and some useful info, so grab one if you can!
All you need to do to take part is to go out anywhere in or around town between noon on Friday 30th of September and noon on Saturday 1st of October. When you’re out, draw what you see: StreetDraw24 believe observational drawing helps us to see the familiar and the everyday afresh with a new perspective.
At the end of the draw, we ask you to donate some or all of your drawings to us so that we can show them in our exhibition at The Poly and sell them to raise funds for St Petrocs’ work with people facing homelessness here in Cornwall.
Work can be handed in: Friday 30th September until 4pm and Saturday 1st of October 10:30am - 4pm at The Poly where many of you will have picked up your participation packs back at the beginning.
We sell all the work created and donated with 50% of the funds going to St Petrocs for their work with people facing homelessness her in Cornwall and 50% helping us to run more community drawing events. It’s free to take part and you can find out more by signing up on our website or watching out for updates on social media!
Exhibition Open: 18th October - 22nd October
Private View: Tuesday 18th October, 5-7pm
