Victorian Science: Adventures in Electro Magnetism!
Join us for a series of exciting Victorian experiments, revealing the hidden laws of electricity, magnetism, sound, and light. During the nineteenth century, scientists became increasingly aware that the forces of nature were governed by a series of laws: while sound, light, and heat all behaved in similar ways, the planet earth itself possessed bewildering magnetic properties - acting like a giant bar magnet. Over the course of an hour, we will re-enact some of the most exciting an and dramatic experiments of the age that helped shape the way that we understand the world, and the universe today.
Suitable for ages 10 to 110!
Workshops suitable ages 10+. Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
This workshop has been made possible by the Tanner Phoenix Trust through the Cornwall Community Fund.
