The ballad may be known as Tam Lin, but he’s only a part of it. Part sung, part told, this is a tale of poison, pluck and changing shape.
Described by audiences as ‘enthralling’ and ‘fresh and full of life’, Tam Lin Retold explores untold stories and unsung voices. Enchanting and sharp in equal measure, this is badass border balladry for the old and the new.
Corinne is a Bristol-based performance storyteller with mixed Irish/British heritage. She creates original work based on folktales, myths and legends viewed through a contemporary lens. She is committed to telling stories that re-centre marginalised voices and silenced histories. As well as engaging with traditional storytelling practices, she uses physical theatre, stand-up comedy & audience participation to create brand new storytelling performances for a modern audience.

"Tam Lin Retold is a brilliant piece of storytelling from a powerful and talented storyteller. Corinne engaged us in a thrilling, enthralling and beautifully paced version of this very old border tale. I loved the way she brought in song, a back story and an appreciation of the sheer power of the two women protagonists - one mortal and one supernatural." - Fiona Eadie, Oxford Storytelling Festival
